Make Writing A Fun For Your Kid
Most of the kids hate writing. Very few who do write, is due to compulsion. Every time kids sit to write home work, either pencil gets blunt or they have to attend nature's call or they remember something which is more important at that moment. Kids try to manipulate parents and often succeed. Writing is one such thing that is always procrastinated. Compelling them to write would make more harm than good. Upto grade one writing can be made more informal.
Here are few activities which will make your kids love writing.

Album:
Make an album in which your kid writes describing things that he saw or did during a visit to a particular place. Stick photos if any to make it look more attractive.
Sticker labeling:
Provide beautiful stickers. Let your kid make a scrap book with a sticker stuck. Let him label it or write what he can identify. Kindergartner can just write the parts of the body or color or shape of that sticker where as grade one kid can write one or two sentences describing it.

Treasure hunt:
Hide some trinket and let your child search it with the help of instructions and directions written on a piece of paper. Take turn and this time let your kid hide and write it while you search for it.
Get involved with your kid and participate equally which will encourage him. You may need to take these efforts only till he starts knowing his responsibilities.
